The history of the Kappa Sigma fraternity dates back to the 14th Century at the University of Bologna in Italy, where a secret brotherhood was formed and spread throughout select European universities. Located west of River Road and just south of Pi Kappa Alpha, Kappa Sigma is a two-story building clad with brick masonry. Since its beginning on March the 6th, 1901, the Beta-Lambda Chapter of Kappa Sigma has remained one of the most historical and impactful organizations at the University of Georgia and beyond.
